Fernando Marques

Fernando Marques has over 15 years of experience in engineering and cost reduction roles, primarily with Perkins Engines Company Limited since March 2008. Currently serving as a CPI 6 Sigma Black Belt and a cost reduction project leader, Fernando evaluates design-related cost reduction ideas and identifies new opportunities for component cost reduction. Previous roles include Production Team Lead and Production Associate, where responsibilities ranged from team leadership to assembly tasks. Prior to Perkins, Fernando worked as a Mechanical Designer at intrino - técnicas de engenharia e manutenção lda and Tracoinsa, focusing on creating assembly drawings and resolving design challenges. Fernando holds a BEng in Engineering - Energy and Sustainability from The Open University, an HNC in Mechanical Engineering, and has a solid foundational education in Mechanical Engineering.
