Larryn Smerling

Larryn Smerling is an experienced interior architect and mentor based in Chicago. Currently serving as a mentor at ACE Mentor Chicago since October 2022 and working as an interior architect at Perkins Eastman, Smerling also held the position of lead designer at Teñido A Mano from June to September 2022, where the focus was on designing interiors for a newly constructed weaving and natural dye studio. Prior experience includes roles at the University of Wisconsin-Madison as head preparator and special event producer from January 2020 to June 2022, where Smerling led a team for a major design event. Additionally, Smerling was a lead counselor at Adventure Builders Camp in the summer of 2019, guiding children's design projects and introducing blacksmithing. Education was completed at the University of Wisconsin-Madison with a Bachelor of Science in Interior Architecture, Design Strategies in 2022.
