Andrea Rutherford

Andrea Rutherford is an experienced professional in the field of education, currently serving as the Director of Compass at Perkins School for the Blind since November 2021, following a tenure as Associate Director of College Success. Prior to this role, Andrea held significant positions within the Wake County Public School System from August 2012 to November 2021, including Lead Teacher of the Visually Impaired Program and Teacher of Visually Impaired. Additionally, Andrea spent over a decade at Agawam Public Schools as a Teacher of Students with Visual Impairments. Educational qualifications include a Master of Education in Special Education from Cambridge College, along with a Master's degree in Teacher of Students with Visual Impairments and Orientation and Mobility from UMass Boston. Andrea also holds a Bachelor's degree in Athletic Training/Trainer from Springfield College.
