Erika Eitland

Erika Eitland, MPH, ScD, currently serves as a Steering Committee Member at AREA Research and as the Director of the Human Experience Lab at Perkins and Will, where work focuses on public health research and the design of healthy spaces, particularly in K-12 and healthcare settings. Eitland co-hosts the Inhabit Podcast and leads collaborative research initiatives across ten international studios, addressing urban resilience and student health in indoor environments. Notably, Eitland created a widely accessed microsite for K-12 school reopening strategies during the pandemic. Past experiences include a board membership at the Collaborative for High Performance Schools, doctoral research at Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health, and various roles in public health and education support, demonstrating a commitment to environmental health and community welfare. Academic credentials include a Doctorate of Science from Harvard, a Master of Public Health from Columbia University, and a Bachelor of Science in Cell Biology from the University of Connecticut.
