Katrin Spencer

Director, Strategy, Partnerships And Growth at Perley Health

Katrin Spencer has a diverse work experience in various healthcare and community-oriented roles. Katrin began their career as a caregiver at Camphill Community in 1999 and then worked as a coordinator at a Home for Adults with Disabilities from 2000 to 2001. In 2007, they served as a Quality Management Consultant at a Primary Care Clinic for a year. From 2011 to 2015, Katrin worked as a Medical Associate at another Primary Care Clinic. Katrin then joined Arnprior Regional Health in 2016 as an MHA candidate, fulfilling various mandates and working with community stakeholders, MPPs, and vendors to increase revenue for long-term care and uninsured services. Katrin also served as the Project Manager for the redevelopment of the Grove nursing home and the creation of a Seniors' Village. Currently, Katrin is the Director of the Seniors' Housing Portfolio and Community Programs at Perley and Rideau Veterans' Health Centre / Foundation.

Katrin Spencer completed their Master of Health Administration from the Telfer School of Management at the University of Ottawa in 2016. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Science in Neuropsychology from The University of British Columbia in 2007. Katrin also pursued medical studies at Leipzig University from 2001 to 2003 as a Medical School Candidate. In 2018, they obtained the certification of Certified Health Executive (CHE) from the Canadian College of Health Leaders.
