Laura Torontow is a skilled recreational therapist with extensive experience in planning and implementing therapeutic programs across various healthcare settings. Currently employed at Perley and Rideau Veterans' Health Centre/Foundation since March 2016, Laura has also held roles such as activity programmer at Extendicare Inc. and therapeutic recreation consultant at Bruyère. With a background as a therapeutic recreation placement student, Laura has demonstrated proficiency in client assessment and program evaluation. Previous positions include teaching assistant at Concordia University, counsellor at WIAIH, and HR interviewer at BackCheck. Laura holds a Bachelor's degree in Therapeutic Recreation from Concordia University, a Bachelor of Arts in Women's Studies from McGill University, and a Diplôme d'études collégiales in Social Science with Math from Cégep Heritage College.
