Recreation Therapist at Perley Health

Rachel Dobson is a seasoned professional in the field of recreation therapy, currently serving as both a Recreation Therapist and Recreation Programmer at Perley and Rideau Veterans' Health Centre/Foundation since July 2013. With prior experience as a Recreation Therapist at Chartwell Seniors Housing REIT and various roles including Companion at Proper Home Care Ltd. and Office Assistant/Receptionist at South Ajax Chiropractic Clinic, Rachel has developed a strong foundation in providing client-focused care and managing administrative responsibilities. Additionally, Rachel has a notable background in working with individuals with special needs through positions at Camp Kennebec and the Resource Association for Teens, where responsibilities included activity planning for marginalized youth. Educational credentials include a degree in Recreation and Leisure Studies with a focus on Inclusive and Therapeutic Recreation from Brock University, obtained in 2011.
