Melis Yasat is currently serving as a Communications Assistant at the Permanent Representation of Finland to the EU since October 2024. Previously, Melis held the role of Communications Assistant at CMI — Martti Ahtisaari Peace Foundation from January 2023 to October 2024 and worked as a Communications Intern at the Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Finland in the Embassy of Finland in London from August to December 2022. Melis also gained experience as a Ronald S. Lauder Fellow at the World Jewish Congress from August 2021 to August 2022 and completed an Operations Intern role at Posti Group Oyj in June and July 2021. Prior experience includes a position as a Gate Service Agent at Finnair from February to September 2019, a Sales Assistant at Kanniston Leipomo Bakery from August 2018 to February 2019, and a Shift Lead at Espresso House Group from May 2017 to June 2018. Melis holds a Bachelor of Arts with Honours in International Relations from King's College London (2019-2022) and is pursuing a Master of Social Sciences in European and Nordic Studies at the University of Helsinki (2023-2025).
