Vittoria Balsamo

Vittoria Balsamo is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in research, development, and engineering within the oil and gas sector. Currently serving as RD&E Director for Midstream & Reservoir at ChampionX since February 2020, Vittoria has a strong track record of driving technology roadmaps, leading innovative projects, and collaborating effectively with sales and marketing teams to align product development with customer needs. Previous roles at Nalco Champion included leadership positions focused on production maximization and enhanced oil recovery, contributing to multimillion-dollar revenue streams. An educator with a background as a Full Professor at Universidad Simón Bolívar, Vittoria has also engaged in significant research projects at institutions such as Florida International University and the Center of Technology of Repsol-YPF. Currently pursuing a Corporate Sustainability and Innovation Graduate Certificate at Harvard University, Vittoria's academic qualifications include a doctorate in Polymer Chemistry and multiple degrees in Polymer Engineering.
