Kyle Fend

Kyle Fend has over 12 years of experience in the environmental and operations management industry. From 2005 to 2008, they worked as a Natural Scientist at North Wind Inc., where they assisted in setting up operational protocols and procedures for a portable HPGe MCA detector. Kyle then worked as an Environmental Engineer II at Freeport - McMoRan Copper & Gold Inc. from 2008 to 2012, where they were responsible for management of compliance activities for four mine site Aquifer Protection Permits, implementation of compliance schedule requirements, and assisting in compliance activities related to Arizona’s Pollution Discharge Elimination System Permit and site Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan. From 2012 to 2013, they worked as Environmental & Permitting Manager, CuMo at Mosquito Consolidated, where they were responsible for ensuring compliance with the project Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan, Spill Prevention Control & Countermeasure Plan, and overseeing site operational compliance with a US Forest Service issued plan of operations. Lastly, they worked as Field Operations Manager and Environmental Superintendent at Perpetua Resources from 2013 to the present, where they are responsible for the execution of all aspects of Perpetua Resources Idaho, Inc. compliance with Health and Safety and Environmental laws, rules, and regulations from county, state, and federal agencies, as well as responsible for all aspects of site-specific compliance with environmental laws, rules, and regulations from state and federal agencies and responsible for permitting of site related exploration and camp activities.

Kyle Fend attended Boise State University from 2002 to 2005, where they earned a BS in Geology with an emphasis in Hydrology. Kyle is currently enrolled at the University of Idaho.
