Chiu Chau is an experienced entrepreneur and engineer, currently serving as CoFounder and Mechanic at OpenShelf since March 2023, focusing on automation solutions for healthcare inventory through open-source robotic systems. Prior to OpenShelf, Chiu held significant leadership roles at Opentrons Labworks Inc. as CTO and at Opentrons as Co-founder and CEO, where the emphasis was on open-source lab robotics. Chiu's career also includes founding BioSample Solutions and serving as VP of Engineering at BioArray, as well as various engineering and managerial positions at Tamarack Scientific Co., POC, ISA, and Quantronix Corporation from 1986 to 1996.
