Ryan Shay

Ryan Shay has a diverse work experience. Ryan is currently working at Rubellite Energy Inc as the Vice President Finance, CFO, and Director since July 2021. Prior to that, they worked at Perpetual Energy Inc as the Vice President Finance and CFO from May 2017 and as a member of the Board of Directors from October 2017. Additionally, they were a member of the Board of Directors at Crew Energy Inc from May 2018. Ryan was also a member of the Board of Directors at Journey Energy from May 2017 to May 2021. Ryan previously served on the Board of Directors at JDRF Canada from 2011 to September 2020. Earlier in their career, they held the position of Managing Director and Head of Investment Banking at Cormark Securities from July 1999 to July 2016. Ryan also worked as a Research Associate in Oil & Gas at Peters & Co. Limited from July 1996 to July 1999.

Ryan Shay graduated from the University of Saskatchewan in 1993 with a Bachelor of Commerce degree, majoring in Accounting. In 1996, they completed their education at the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Alberta, becoming a Chartered Accountant. Ryan then pursued further education and obtained the designation of Chartered Financial Analyst from the CFA Institute in 1999. Lastly, in 2015, Ryan completed their education at the Chartered Professional Accountants of Canada (CPA Canada) to become a Chartered Professional Accountant.
