Justin Burmeister

Justin Burmeister has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Justin is currently serving as the Head of Finance Business Partnering at Perpetual Limited, a position they took on in March 2022. In this role, they are responsible for utilizing data and analytics to drive better decision making and automation across the company. Prior to this, they held the position of Head of Data Analytics at Perpetual from January 2018 to March 2022, where they successfully leveraged data to support divisional strategies and identify new opportunities.

Before joining Perpetual, Justin worked as a Senior Finance Business Partner and Financial Planning & Analysis Manager at Perpetual Corporate Trust, the fastest growing division within the company, from February 2014 to January 2018. During this time, they provided valuable insights and advice into the division's performance and played a key role in its consistent growth.

Justin's prior experience includes working as a Group Finance Manager at The Trust Company (now part of Perpetual) from October 2010 to February 2014, where they were responsible for business performance and planning. Justin also worked at UBS Wealth Management as an Associate Director in Finance from September 2008 to May 2010, and at Deutsche Bank as a Business Area Controller from February 2008 to August 2008.

Justin'searlier career includes roles as a Business Unit Controller at UBS Investment Bank from September 2005 to December 2007 and as an Audit Senior at Mazars South Africa from February 2001 to September 2004. Justin Burmeister attended Rhodes University from 1996 to 1999, where they completed a Post Graduate Diploma in Accounting (Prelim) and a Bachelor of Commerce degree with a focus on Accounting, Information Systems, and Commercial Law. Justin then attended the University of KwaZulu-Natal in 2001, where they pursued a Bachelor of Commerce Honours degree in Accounting. Finally, from 2002 to 2004, Justin attended the South African Institute of Chartered Accountants, where they earned a CA(SA) degree in Chartered Accountancy.
