Sam Lee

Sam Lee has a diverse and extensive work experience in the IT and security industry. Sam is currently working as a Security Solution Lead at Perpetual Limited, where they are responsible for the architecture, design, and delivery of security solutions in an Azure cloud environment.

Before joining Perpetual Limited, Sam worked at nbn™ Australia for seven years. During this time, they held multiple roles, including Lead Security Solution Architect and IAM Security Architect. In these roles, they were responsible for designing and delivering security programs, managing security architects, and collaborating with internal stakeholders to improve the organization's security posture.

Prior to nbn™ Australia, Sam worked at IBM for over 15 years. Sam held positions such as Advisory IT Architect, Associate IT Architect, Advisory IT Specialist, and IT Specialist. At IBM, they were involved in various client-facing roles, solution architecture, and IT security specialties. Sam also achieved certifications in application architecture and Sun Certified Programmer for Java 2 Platform.

Sam Lee earned a Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology from UNSW, where they studied from 1997 to 2000. They also obtained a Master's Degree in Computer and Information Sciences, General from UNSW between 2001 and 2003. Additionally, Sam has obtained certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Security Engineer Associate from Microsoft in 2022, AWS Certified Security - Specialty from Amazon Web Services (AWS) in 2021, and SABSA Foundation SCF from The SABSA Institute in 2019.
