Randy Ardywibowo

Randy Ardywibowo is a seasoned professional in electrical engineering and machine learning, currently serving as a Member of Technical Staff at Perplexity since October 2025. Prior to this role, Randy worked as a Senior Machine Learning Engineer and a Machine Learning Engineer at Apple from August 2022 to November 2025. Randy's academic background includes a PhD in Electrical Engineering from Texas A&M University, where research focused on learning under data irregularity and uncertainty, as well as experience as a Research Assistant. Randy also held positions at Qualcomm and the University of Washington, where research concentrated on computer vision and skin disease detection. Additional experience includes developing a mobile app as a Founding Engineer at MasjidPay and conducting research on time-series models, Gaussian Processes, and reinforcement learning at Texas A&M University.
