Georgie Austin has extensive work experience in the fashion industry. In 2002, they started working as a Graphic/Textile Designer at Country Road Group. Following that, they worked as the Head Womenswear Designer at Nicholson Clothing from 2004 to 2006. In 2007, they founded CABLE MELBOURNE and served as the Founder and Creative Director. Currently, they hold roles as the Creative Director at Perri Cutten and as the Director of Austin Group, both starting in 2021.

Georgie Austin attended Ruyton Girls' School from 1985 to 1997. Georgie then studied at RMIT University, where they obtained a Certificate in Applied Design in 1998 and a Bachelor's Degree in Design, specializing in Graphic Design, from 1999 to 2001.
