Christine Orr has a diverse work experience in the field of diabetes care and education, nutrition management, and program management. Christine is currently working as a Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist/Registered Dietitian at Perry Health. Prior to this, they worked at Medtronic as a Clinical Specialist in the NDT division, where they trained primary care physicians and other healthcare professionals on continuous glucose monitoring devices and provided recommendations for diabetes management. Christine also worked as a Certified Product Trainer for both the NDT division (iPro2 CGM) and Insulin Pumps at Medtronic. Christine was a Professional Speaker at Program Management Services Inc., where they conducted CE/CEU accredited diabetes education programs for healthcare professionals. Christine also has experience as a Manager of Community Health at Atlantic Health, where they oversaw outpatient diabetes education, maternal childbirth programming, nutrition counseling, and inpatient glycemic control programs. Furthermore, Christine served as a Clinical Manager of Diabetes and Nutrition Education at Newton Memorial Hospital, managing the diabetes self-management education program and achieving high customer satisfaction. Christine also held positions as a Diabetes/Nutrition Educator and Clinical Nutrition Manager at Newton Memorial Hospital, where they oversaw nutrition programs and ensured appropriate nutritional care for patients. Throughout their career, Christine has demonstrated expertise in diabetes care, education, and nutrition management.

Christine Orr obtained their Bachelor of Science degree in Human Nutrition, with a concentration in Gerontology, from Syracuse University. Christine then pursued a Master of Science in Administration with a specialization in Health Administration from Central Michigan University. In terms of certifications, Christine obtained the Certified Diabetes Educator (CDE) certification from the National Certification Board for Diabetes Educators in April 1989. Christine also achieved the Board Certification in Advanced Diabetes Management (BC-ADM) from the Association of Diabetes Care & Education Specialists in February 2005. Additionally, they obtained the Certified Diabetes Technology Clinician (CDTC) certification from the Diabetes Technology Society in May 2016.
