Brian Knight

Brian Knight serves as the Director of Secondary Education at Perry Township Schools since July 2023, overseeing daily school operations and personnel management. Previously, Brian held the position of Principal at Southport High School since July 2016 and at Southport Middle School from July 2011 to June 2016, where duties included staff supervision and evaluation. Earlier experience includes serving as Assistant Principal at Perry Meridian High School from January 2003 to June 2011, where notable contributions included developing a positive behavior incentive program and leading school improvement initiatives. Brian initially began a career in education as a Science Teacher and Coach, teaching various science subjects. Brian holds an Ed.S. in Urban Education and Leadership, a Master's degree in Educational Leadership and Administration, and a Bachelor's degree in Secondary Education from Indiana universities, and is currently pursuing an Ed.D. in Equity in Education at Indiana Wesleyan University.
