David Casas Cabanes has been working in the field of biomedical engineering since 2017. In 2017, they worked as a Biomedical Engineer at Hospital Gregorio Marañón. In 2019, they worked as a Biomedical Engineer at AP-HP, Assistance Publique - Hôpitaux de Paris, where they were assigned to the Neurology Department and was involved in the Radiotherapy Department and the implantation of electrodes in the brain for the treatment of epilepsy in Deep Brain Stimulation. David also programmed a 3D slicer module that provided doctors with data about the distance between the electrodes implanted after the operation and the supposed trajectory that those electrodes should have followed. In 2019, they also worked at Medtronic as an INNOVA & European Projects Support, where they participated in the creation of new proposals for H2020 European Innovation Projects or EIT-Health projects, supported the coordination of the different entities participating in the ACTIVAGE and GATEKEEPER project, and developed a market analysis and commercialization strategy for the RGS@Home solution (EIT Health project). Currently, they are working as a Technical Project Manager at Persei vivarium (digital health).

David Casas Cabanes has a Bachelor's degree in Biomedical engineering from Universidad Politécnica de Madrid, which they obtained between 2014 and 2018. David then pursued a MSc in Biomedical Engineering at the same university, which they completed in 2020. In 2019, they also completed a Master in Technological Innovation in Health (MTiH) at Sorbonne Université, with a focus on Ingénierie pour la Santé. In October 2016, they obtained the FCE certification.
