Balazs Kiss

Balazs Kiss has a diverse work experience in various IT roles. Balazs worked as the Head of IT and DevOps Engineer at Personal Trust (Pty) Ltd from 2016 to 2023. In this role, they implemented a new software development department and utilized an Agile Framework (Scrum). Balazs also developed a CRM system using the Django Web Framework and implemented it using Docker. Additionally, they worked on RestApi development, integration of Xero Accounting and Microsoft Graph, and migration of GitLab. com. Balazs integrated GitLab CI/CD with Azure Cloud and developed a front-end site using Microsoft Blazor framework and C#.

Balazs also worked as an Educator at SACAP (The South African College of Applied Psychology) starting in 2022.

Prior to their role at Personal Trust (Pty) Ltd, Balazs worked as a Microsoft BI Architect at Dimension Data from 2014 to 2016. Balazs delivered various projects, including the design and development of a data warehouse for BKB Pty Ltd using Microsoft SQL Server. Before that, they were the owner of Qana IT Solution Services from 2007 to 2014, where they provided IT support services and expanded the business to offer networking, hosting, database administration, integration development, and BI reporting services.

Earlier in their career, Balazs worked as a System Administrator at DGB (Pty) Ltd in 2006 and as an Information Technology Intern at Savoury Foods from 2004 to 2006.

Balazs Kiss obtained a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from the University of South Africa/Universiteit van Suid-Afrika, which they pursued from 2019 to 2023. Before that, they completed a Diploma in Network Engineering at Varsity College in 2004-2005. Balazs also obtained a Diploma in IT Network Engineering from the same institution during the same period. In terms of additional certifications, Balazs is Scrum Master Certified (SMC) and a Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO), which were obtained in 2021 from Scrum Alliance. Balazs also holds various edX Verified Certificates in topics such as Analyzing and Visualizing Data with Power BI, Data Science Orientation, Introduction to R for Data Science, and Querying with Transact-SQL, although the specific months and years of obtaining these certificates are not provided.
