Karthikeyan S.

Karthikeyan S. has a diverse and extensive work experience in the field of bioinformatics and software engineering. Karthikeyan began their career as a Statistical Programmer Intern at DNASTAR in 2006. Karthikeyan then worked as a Bioinformatics Analyst at Sirna Therapeutics, Merck & Co. from 2010 to 2011. Karthikeyan joined Regeneron Pharmaceuticals as a Bioinformatics Scientist in 2007 and remained with the company until 2010. Karthikeyan then worked at Agilent Technologies as a Bioinformatics Engineer Expert from 2011 to 2013. Karthikeyan joined Genentech as a Bioinformatics Consultant in 2014 before moving to Takara Bio USA, Inc. In Takara Bio USA, they held several positions including Sr. Staff Scientist, Bioinformatics; R&D Group Leader, Bioinformatics; and Associate Director, Bioinformatics from 2015 to 2022. Currently, Karthikeyan holds the position of Associate Director, Operations Informatics at Personalis, Inc. since June 2022 and is soon to become the Director of Software Engineering, Clinical Software in April 2023.

Karthikeyan S. holds a Ph.D. in Bioinformatics from the University of Cincinnati. Prior to that, they obtained an M.S. in Systems Engineering from the same university. Their undergraduate degree, a Bachelor of Engineering (BE), was earned at the University of Madras. Karthikeyan also received a High School Diploma from National Public School.
