Bart Vangeneugden has a diverse work experience in various software engineering roles. Bart is currently working as a Lead Backend Engineer at Personio since May 2023. Before that, they worked at Apple as a Senior Software Engineer from September 2021 to May 2023, where they played a significant role in the rollout of memoji engravings and implemented a cost-saving 3D preview technique. Prior to Apple, Bart worked at Privitar as a Software Engineering Lead from March 2021 to September 2021, leading a team that focused on reliable communication, job lifecycle and monitoring, and customer setup workflow. Bart also worked as a Software Engineer in the same company from September 2020 to March 2021. Bart has a long history with Expedia Group, where they held multiple roles, including Senior Software Engineer on the pricing team, leading developer on the website's header and footer management team, iOS and mobile API team, Platform team, and Checkout pages development team. Lastly, they started their career at Minotti London as a Web Developer & Order Management, and at Netmedia Europe NV as a Software Engineer.

Bart Vangeneugden obtained a Bachelor's degree in Computer Software Engineering from Erasmushogeschool Brussel in 2009. Prior to that, they pursued Computer Software Engineering studies at KU Leuven from 2009 to 2010.
