Dr. Malte Winkler

Dr. Malte Winkler currently serves as the Head of Climate Policy Research and Consultant at Perspectives Climate Group since November 2021. Previously, Dr. Winkler worked as a PhD Researcher at Institut für Weltwirtschaft in Kiel from October 2016 to December 2021, focusing on climate protection and land use change policies, computable general equilibrium modeling, and data analysis related to international climate policy. Additional experience includes an internship at UDATA GmbH involving hydrodynamic modeling and GIS support, a dive base assistant role at HYDRA Institut, and an apprenticeship as a theatre sculptor. Dr. Winkler holds a Master of Science and a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Sciences from the University of Koblenz and Landau, as well as a doctorate in agricultural economics from Institut für Weltwirtschaft in Kiel.
