Nancy Tinnel Emrick has a long and varied career in finance and operations. Nancy began their career in 1986 as a Vice President-Mergers & Acquisitions at Merrill Lynch, advising European and US clients on international investment banking transactions. In 2011, they moved to Insurance Recovery Group as a Financial Analyst, preparing financial reports, budgets, forecasts and analyses. In 2012, they became Project Coordinator for Ken Burns documentary "Defying the Nazis: The Sharps' War". Nancy then moved to New Alchemy Energy Partners in 2013 as a Project Manager, coordinating origination, screening, financial modeling and analysis of potential renewable energy investment opportunities. In 2014, they became Assistant Campaign Manager for Brian Herr for US Senate, coordinating all activities of the team. Nancy then moved to BioScale, Inc. as a Sales Marketing Coordinator, providing sales quotes and process orders for globally based customers. In 2017, they held two positions, Interim Director of Finance at Archetype and Finance and Accounting Manager at Arrowstreet Inc., adding their financial and business acumen to the creative thinking to tighten up the financial ship. Finally, in 2019, they joined Perthera as Vice President Operations, Director Of Operations, and Director Commercial Operations, leading the commercialization efforts.

Nancy Tinnel Emrick's education history includes a Bachelor of Arts in Biology from Boston University, which they completed in 1982. In 1984, they earned an MBA in Management from the University of Virginia Darden School of Business. In 2009, they completed an Advanced Graduate Certificate in Business Administration and Management, General from Bentley University. That same year, they also completed a Study Abroad program in Innovation Management at Grenoble Ecole de Management.
