Douwe founded Upbeat Innovation in 2013, where they specialize in helping B2B start-ups and scale-ups achieve growth through a data-driven approach. Douwe has also founded Cavemen in 2015, which focuses on entrepreneurial ventures. Additionally, Douwe has worked as the Head of Ventures & Growth - Legal Tech Factory at ARAG Rechtsbijstand, where they accelerate and invests in legal tech companies. Douwe has also worked as a mentor at Rockstart Accelerator and as a partner and Lean Startup/Agile Coach at Value First B.V. Douwe has a background in innovation consulting as well, working at Stichting DutchJugaad and Dutchbasecamp. Douwe has also worked as a strategy consultant at dutch. In their most recent role, they are serving as a Fractional CMO at PESCHECK®, an all-in-one software for accelerating the onboarding process.

Douwe W. attended Saxion University of Applied Sciences from 2002 to 2006, where they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Knowledge Management.
