Donald Freeman has a diverse and extensive work experience. Donald began their career at L-3 Communications as a Vice President of Business Development from 2003 to 2008. Donald then joined P E Systems, Inc. in 2009, where they held various leadership positions, including Vice President of Operations & Business Development and Vice President, Division Manager. During their time at P E Systems, Inc., they managed the company's largest operating division and was responsible for full profit and loss (P&L) accountability. In 2018, they joined OBXTek, Inc. as the Secretary of the Air Force Technical Acquisition and Support Services (STAQSS) Program Manager.

Donald Freeman completed their education in two distinct periods. From 1967 to 1971, they attended East Carolina University and earned a Bachelor's degree in Industrial Technology with a focus on Business, Math, Sciences, and Industrial Arts. Following that, they pursued further education from 1977 to 1979 at the University of Alaska Fairbanks, where they successfully obtained a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree specializing in Organizational Behavior and Management.
