April Shepard is currently the Director at Pet Partners. April has over 20 years of experience in Talent Acquisition and Executive Recruiting. Prior to Pet Partners, they were the Head of Talent Acquisition at Central Garden & Pet. There, they were responsible for driving the Central to Home strategy which encompassed building capabilities and simplifying how they work. April helped strategically position their business to be the top destination for candidates and employees to work.

Before Central Garden & Pet, April was the Sr. Director of Executive Recruiting & Employment Branding at Dollar General. There, they oversaw all aspects of recruiting, from sourcing and screening candidates to negotiating job offers. April also managed the employment branding function and developed strategies to attract top talent to Dollar General.

Prior to Dollar General, April was the Corporate Vice President/Talent Acquisition at Culver Careers, an executive staffing firm. There, they were responsible for all aspects of recruiting and placement for clients in a variety of industries.

April Shepard received a Bachelor of Science (B.S) Business Administration from Capella University with a concentration in Human Resources Management and Services. April also has a degree in Business Administration from California State University-Sacramento.
