Heather Carlson

Heather Carlson has over 15 years of experience in media relations and communications. Heather has held various roles at PETA, including Senior Director of Media Relations, Director of Media Relations, and Director of Communications. Prior to that, they worked as the Associate Director of Advertising & Social Media and Communications Social Media and Projects Manager at PETA. Heather also has experience in the gaming industry as the Head Game & Forum Administrator at Planet Realm. Heather has also worked as a Senior Counselor at Iowa Leadership Camp, where they developed and implemented a leadership curriculum for high school students. Additionally, Heather has worked as a Teaching Assistant at The Neighborhood Centers of Johnson County and as a Veterinary Assistant/Technician at All Pets Veterinary Clinic. Overall, Heather has a diverse range of experience in media, communications, education, and animal care.
