Jean-Philippe Rivard

Jean-Philippe Rivard has a diverse work experience in various roles, predominantly as a Scrum Master and developer. Jean-Philippe is currently employed at Petal as a Scrum Master and Senior Front-End Developer. Prior to this, they worked at Fibrenoire as a Scrum Master and Front-End Technical Lead from 2018 to 2021.

Before that, Jean-Philippe worked at Internap as a Scrum Master and Developer from 2014 to 2018. In this role, they collaborated with the Engineering Department's director to enhance organizational processes and act as a Scrum Master for the Client-Facing team while also contributing as a developer.

From 2013 to 2014, Jean-Philippe was a Scrum Master at La Presse, where they oversaw iOS and Android development teams. Jean-Philippe also worked with the Product Management Office to create a realistic release plan for the Android version of the product. Additionally, they briefly served as a System Developer during this time.

Prior to their role at La Presse, Jean-Philippe worked at iWeb Technologies as a Scrum Master and Developer from 2009 to 2013. Jean-Philippe also had a brief stint as a Web Developer within the same company.

Jean-Philippe's career began at Gameloft, where they held various roles. Jean-Philippe worked as an E-Commerce Developer from 2005 to 2007, an E-Commerce Project Manager from 2007 to 2008, and an E-Commerce Production Manager from 2008 to 2009. In these positions, they collaborated with Marketing and Business Departments to coordinate development projects and ensure timely execution.

Before their professional career, Jean-Philippe worked as a Freelancer from 2002 to 2005.

Jean-Philippe Rivard attended the CEGEP de Saint-Jérôme from 1999 to 2002 and obtained a DEC (Diplôme d'études collégiales) in Integration Multimédia. From 2003 to 2005, they enrolled at the Université de Montréal but did not receive a specific degree or pursue a specific field of study during this time. Additionally, in 2010, Jean-Philippe Rivard obtained the certification of Certified Scrum Master from the Scrum Alliance.
