Derek Jung

Derek Jung is a Senior Data Scientist at Petco, where involvement spans the Demand Planning Operations team and previously the Assortment, Space, and Inventory team. Derek is also the Founder of Next Level SQL, a platform for data professionals to practice SQL skills. Earlier experience includes serving as a Data Science Associate at GSK, contributing to supply chain analytics and cognitive automation, and as a Lead Data Scientist at Macy's, where pivotal analysis on online sales and inventory optimized operations significantly. Additional roles include a Data Science Fellow at Insight Data Science, various internships, and academic positions, culminating in a PhD in Mathematics from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
