Cassandra Stanton

Cassandra Stanton is a Medical Laboratory Technician currently working in the Molecular Pathology department of the Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre since August 2023, where responsibilities include delivering high throughput and quality results within the NGS team. Prior experience includes serving as a Research Officer at La Trobe University from February to May 2023, focusing on WGA protocols for amplifying single microfilariae and enhancing skills in bioinformatic analysis. Additionally, from 2020 to 2022, Cassandra provided support as a Subject Support Tutor and Undergraduate Demonstrator, assisting with undergraduate practical classes in Microbiology and conducting Zoom workshops. Educational qualifications include a PhD from La Trobe University (2019-2023) and a Bachelor's degree in Animal and Veterinary Biosciences with first-class Honours (2015-2018), majoring in Animal Science and Microbiology.
