Amanda Spade has a diverse range of work experience in the healthcare industry. Amanda began their career in 2005 at Heartland Human Services, where they worked as an Intake and Assessment specialist, providing support services and connecting clients to counseling resources. In 2007, they joined LifeLinks Mental Health as a Crisis Clinician, offering crisis counseling and SASS services to individuals and families in Central Illinois. In 2009, they joined Petersen Health Care as a Regional Marketing Director, coordinating marketing and outreach efforts for skilled nursing facilities across different communities in Illinois. Amanda then took on a similar role at HSHS St. Anthony's Memorial Hospital in 2019 as an Outreach Representative. Most recently, in 2020, they returned to Petersen Health Care as a Regional Marketing Director. Amanda's work experience demonstrates their expertise in marketing, outreach, crisis counseling, and client support within the healthcare field.
Amanda Spade obtained a Bachelor's degree in Family and Consumer Sciences/Human Sciences from Eastern Illinois University, where they studied from 1999 to 2001. In September 2018, they successfully obtained certification as a Certified Dementia Practitioner from the National Council of Certified Dementia Practitioners.
