Jason Furman

Jason Furman is currently a Professor of Practice at the Harvard Kennedy School and a Non-resident Senior Fellow at the Peterson Institute for International Economics. From August 2013 to January 2017, Jason Furman served as Chairman of the Council of Economic Advisers. Prior to this role, Jason Furman was Principal Deputy Director and Assistant to the President at the National Economic Council, as well as Deputy Director and Deputy Assistant to the President, from January 2009 to August 2013. Jason Furman holds a Ph.D. in Economics from Harvard University, where Jason completed a Master of Arts in Government and a Bachelor's degree in Social Studies, as well as an M.Sc. in Economics from The London School of Economics and Political Science.
