Bedřich Synek

Bedřich Synek has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. Bedřich currently serves as the Country Manager CZ & SK at PetExpert - Digital Pet Health Insurance, starting in 2022. Before this, they worked at Direct pojišťovna, a.s. for several years, holding the positions of Head of Retail Sales and Director of Branch Network from 2018 to 2021. In 2021, they also participated in the Aspen Young Leaders Program as an Alumni of Aspen Institute Central Europe. Prior to that, Synek was the Head of Sales Department/Business Director at MeDitorial from 2016 to 2018, where they were responsible for marketing and advertising in the healthcare/telemedicine/medical portal industry. Bedřich has also held leadership positions at ING Bank Česká republika as the Head of Retail Client Service and Manager Financial Services (Head of Branch Network) from 2013 to 2016. Earlier in their career, Synek gained extensive experience at GE Capital, holding various roles including Operations Manager Commercial Banking, Head of Mortgage Distribution, Mortgage Regional Manager of Prague, Key Account Manager, and Mortgage Banker from 2003 to 2013.

Bedřich Synek began their education in 2001 at the University of West Bohemia in Pilsen, where they pursued a Bachelor's degree in banking. Bedřich completed this program in 2002. In 2003, they furthered their studies at the Banking Institute, where they obtained a Master's degree in banking and specialized in the field of banking. During the same year, they also attended the Institute of Technology in Sligo, where they studied business studies for a brief period. In 2020, Bedřich Synek enrolled in the OUBEP (Oxford University Business Economics Programme) and pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree. Bedřich completed this program in 2021. In addition to their formal education, Synek obtained certifications in Design Thinking from Google and Rock Your LinkedIn Profile from LinkedIn in October 2020.
