Lorien Clemens has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. In 2011, they co-founded PetHub, Inc. and currently serves as the Co-Founder & CEO, leading the team in developing a platform for digital pet identification. Prior to this role, Lorien held various positions within PetHub, including Co-founder & Chief Operating Officer, Co-founder & Vice President of Marketing and Operations, and Co-founder & Director of Municipal & Shelter Programs.
In 2016, Lorien also worked as the Host & Editor for Pet Lover Geek, a platform that explores pet product tech trends and provides information on lost pet prevention and recovery tools.
Before entering the pet industry, Lorien had experience in the education sector. Lorien worked as a Lead Teacher at Woodinville Montessori School, where they facilitated Montessori education for children in grades 4 to 6 and led various curriculum and research projects. Prior to this, they served as the Accreditation Coordinator & Junior High Instructor at Arbor Montessori Schools.
Additionally, Lorien has experience as a Lead Teacher at Villa Montessori School and as an Arts Coordinator for the California Art Works Program in the Washington Union School District. Lorien also served as the Arts Program Director for the California Art Works Program in the Monterey Bay Unified School District.
Throughout their career, Lorien has demonstrated their leadership and expertise in various roles, primarily in the areas of pet technology, education, and arts coordination.
Lorien Clemens obtained a Teaching Certificate in Elementary I & II from the Dallas Montessori Teacher Education Program in 2003-2004. Prior to that, they pursued their MFA in Theatre from the University of Pittsburgh from 1994-1997. Lorien began their academic journey by earning a BFA in Fine Arts from the University of Oklahoma in 1989-1991.
