Joe Hampel, DVM, DACLAM, DABT, is a seasoned veterinary professional with extensive experience in laboratory animal medicine and biomedical research. Currently serving as a Senior BI & Data Analyst and Principal Veterinarian at Charles River Laboratories, Joe has previously held significant roles, including Veterinarian at PetIQ and Principal Veterinarian at MPI Research. Earlier in the career, Joe completed postdoctoral training in Biomedical Research and Laboratory Animal Medicine at the Unit for Laboratory Animal Medicine and provided technical support for veterinary services at the Wisconsin National Primate Research Center. Joe holds a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, obtained in 2011, and a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacology & Toxicology from the same institution, completed in 2004.
