Miriam Grando

Manager Of The Microbiology Lab at PetIQ Brand

Miriam Grando has extensive experience in food quality assurance and microbiology, currently serving as the Manager of the Microbiology Lab at PetIQ since August 2013. In this role, Miriam analyzes salmonella in ingredients, conducts shelf life studies for finished products, and monitors environmental conditions. Prior to PetIQ, Miriam worked at Mountain Country Foods from April 2005 to July 2013 in quality assurance, where responsibilities included analyzing moisture, water activity, and pH levels during production, as well as overseeing packaging line controls such as codes, expiration dates, metal detection, and scale accuracy. Miriam holds a degree in Food Science from Universidad Nacional de Cuyo, obtained between 1993 and 1998, with a focus on food analysis, environmental monitoring, and shelf life studies.
