Jaison Rajan Pr Eng has a strong background in the mining industry. Jaison started their career at De Beers Consolidated Mines, Finsch Mine, where they held various roles as a Mining Engineer and Section Leader. Jaison then moved on to BHP Billiton, where they served as a Mineral Resources Manager, Mine Manager, and General Manager at different mines. After that, they joined South32 as the General Manager of Khutala Colliery, overseeing both underground and opencast operations. Currently, Jaison holds the position of Chief Operating Officer at Petra Diamonds, where they are responsible for underground diamond operations in South Africa and also serves as the General Manager of Cullinan Diamond Mine. Later, they pursued a Masters in Engineering degree with a specialization in Mineral Economics at the same institution from 2008 to 2012. More recently, from 2019 to 2021, they completed a Masters in Business Administration, specializing in Executive Management, at the Graduate School of Business - University of Cape Town, focusing on Business Administration and Management, General.
