Stephen Coats

Stephen Coats has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning several prestigious companies. Stephen is the Founder and Managing Partner of Petra Funds Group since November 2021. Prior to this, Stephen worked at Riverstone Holdings for over 13 years, serving as Partner, General Counsel, and Chief Administrative Officer. Stephen started their career at Vinson & Elkins where they were a Partner for over 10 years.

Stephen Coats received their Bachelor's degree in Government from The University of Texas at Austin in 1994. Stephen then attended The University of Texas School of Law from 1994 to 1997, where they obtained a Doctor of Law (JD) degree.
