Derek Ruths

Derek Ruths has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. Derek is currently serving as the President of Charitable Analytics International since January 2016. In addition, they hold the position of Chief Architect at Petro.ai since December 2018.

Prior to these roles, Derek Ruths worked as an Associate Professor of Computer Science at McGill University from September 2015 onwards. Before that, they held the position of Assistant Professor at McGill University from August 2009 to August 2015.

Derek also has experience as the Co-Founder & Chief Scientist at Macromeasures from 2014 to 2017, and as a Consultant at Facebook from 2014 to 2016. Derek Ruths previously co-founded Advanced Reality and served as the CTO from 2001 to 2003.

Derek Ruths pursued their education at Rice University, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Computer Science from 1998 to 2003. Derek furthered their studies at the same university and completed a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Computer Science from 2003 to 2009.
