Richard Gaut

Richard Gaut has a diverse work experience in the energy industry. Richard started their career as a Senior Business Development Executive at Reservoir Group in 2011, where they worked until 2013. In 2014, they had a summer internship at SCF Partners. In 2015, they became the Manager of Corporate Development at Beckman Production Services, where they worked until 2017. During this time, they also held the role of Associate: Strategic Development at Nine Energy Service for a short period in 2017. From 2017 to 2019, Gaut worked as Vice President at SCF Partners. In 2017, they also joined the Board of Directors at VLP Lift Systems, where they served until 2021. In 2018, Gaut started working at Petro.ai as the Chief Financial Officer, and later became the Chief Operating Officer from 2020 to 2022. Richard also served as a Board Observer at Petro.ai and Kinetic Pressure Control in 2018 and 2019, respectively. In 2018, Gaut joined the Board of Directors at Deep Imaging and Vertice Oil Tools Inc., where they currently hold positions. Richard Gaut earned their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Physics from Wake Forest University in 2006. Richard then went on to pursue a Master of Education (M.Ed.) degree in Physics Teaching at the same university from 2007 to 2008. Later, in 2013, Richard enrolled at Rice Business - Jones Graduate School of Business, where they completed their Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) degree with a specialization in Energy Finance in 2015.
