Alan Watson

Alan Watson is a Senior Project Engineer consulting on behalf of Petrofac, with over thirty years of experience in brownfield engineering, project engineering, and project management. Currently overseeing modifications and shutdowns for the Cygnus Asset, Alan has held significant roles in national and international projects, showcasing a strong background in structural, piping, and mechanical disciplines. They successfully managed the decommissioning of Dunlin Alpha and coordinated numerous engineering projects for companies such as Fairfield Energy Limited, AMEC, and Woodgroup/KBR. Alan possesses advanced degrees including an MSc in Decommissioning and a Master’s in Project Management from the University of Aberdeen. Their extensive knowledge spans all phases of project delivery, emphasizing safety, cost, and risk management.
