Dean Thomson

Dean Thomson is an experienced Operations Supervisor and Shift Team Leader at Petrofac, currently on the Kittiwake platform, overseeing a diverse team of technicians and operators. With a career spanning over 17 years in the oil and gas industry, Dean has held various roles including Production Operator at Wood Group PSN and BW Offshore, where responsibilities included safe operations and monitoring during critical phases of production. Prior to these positions, Dean served as an Operations Technician at Petrofac Offshore Management Ltd, gaining extensive experience during commissioning and operational phases. Early career training as a Marine Engineering Cadet provided foundational skills in maritime engineering. Dean holds a Higher National Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from Glasgow College of Nautical Studies.
