Murray Cooper

Murray Cooper is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in well engineering and management across multiple continents. Currently serving as Regional Director for Europe & Africa in Well Engineering at Petrofac since August 2007, Murray has a diverse background that includes roles as Operations Manager and Project Manager, emphasizing expertise in HSEQ leadership, planning, and operational execution for multi-rig projects. Prior experience includes senior positions at Shell EPE and Shell Expro, where responsibilities spanned well engineering activities, project leadership, and operational support for significant drilling campaigns. Murray began a career in the industry as a trainee Drilling Engineer at Santa Fe Tech Serv after earning a BEng (Hons) in Mechanical & Offshore Engineering from Robert Gordon University.
