Simon Nixon

Simon Nixon has extensive experience in the drilling and oil industry. Simon has held various roles throughout their career, starting in 1998 at Shell as a Well Engineer and later becoming a Senior Drilling Supervisor on the Brent Bravo platform. Simon has worked on a range of projects, including subsea well intervention and drilling programs, drilling and completion of deviated wells, and horizontal development and appraisal gas wells. Simon has also held positions at Petroleum Development Oman, Shell UK Ltd, Talisman Energy, CNR International, AGR Petroleum Services, Qatar Petroleum, and Petrofac. In their most recent role at Petrofac, they served as the (Drilling) Operations Discipline Lead. Overall, Simon Nixon has a strong background in drilling and operational management within the oil and gas industry.

Simon Nixon obtained their Bachelor of Engineering with Honors in Naval Architecture & Offshore Engineering from the University of Strathclyde. Subsequently, they pursued a Master of Science in Shipbuilding Technology from the same institution.
