Ashok Kumar

Ashok Kumar is a highly experienced Petrophysicist currently working as a Shell Secondee Petrophysicist at Petroleum Development Oman since February 2022. With a career spanning over a decade at Shell prior to this role, Ashok held various positions including Asset Petrophysicist, Study Petrophysicist, and Operations Petrophysicist, where responsibilities ranged from designing and executing data acquisition activities to optimizing oil and gas production through reservoir management and logging contract management. Ashok contributed to key projects across multiple regions, including significant improvements in development plans for gas fields in Southeast Asia and Australia, as well as providing training to local teams in advanced log interpretation. Ashok holds an M.Tech in Applied Geology from the Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee and a B.Sc in Geology from Hansraj College, University of Delhi.
