Hisham Al Siyabi

Hisham Al Siyabi is an experienced geologist with a comprehensive background in oil and gas exploration and production. Currently serving as Exploration Director at Petroleum Development Oman (PDO) since April 2009, Hisham has held various leadership roles, including GeoSolutions Manager and Gas Exploration Manager, overseeing significant production and exploration programs. Previous experience includes a position as Staff Geologist/seismic interpreter at Shell Exploration and Production in Houston, TX, where Hisham assessed play prospectivity and led exploration efforts in the Gulf of Mexico. Hisham's career at PDO began in February 1999, during which time contributions were made to several successful discoveries in the South Oman region. Academic qualifications include a PhD and MSc in Geology from the Colorado School of Mines, as well as a BSc in Geology from the University of South Carolina.
