Chris Paddon

Chris Paddon has extensive experience in the lubrication and chemicals sectors, currently serving as the Head of Sustainability Development and Head of Technology Commercialisation at PETRONAS Lubricants International since April 2016. Prior to this, Chris held significant roles at BP from September 2011 to March 2016, including Head of Chemicals Sector Procurement and Engine Oils Component Development Technology Manager. Chris also worked at Shell as Finished Lubricant Base Oils Project Leader and Lubrication Science Project Leader between November 2007 and July 2011, and began a career in research as a Research Scientist in the Medicinal Chemistry Department at GlaxoSmithKline in 2002. Chris holds an MBA from The Open University, a PhD in Cryoelectroorganic Chemistry from the University of Oxford, and a BSc in Chemistry with Forensic Analysis from Loughborough University.
