Vimal Rao Veerasamy

Vimal Rao Veerasamy is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in corporate sustainability, business development, and strategic management within the energy sector. Currently serving as Senior Manager and Workstream Lead for the Energy Transition Strategy at PETRONAS, Vimal plays a pivotal role in developing the NZCE 2050 pathway and implementing Nature-Based Solutions. A leader in sustainable development initiatives, Vimal has designed strategies that align with Net Zero Carbon Emission goals and has successfully managed key accounts within the Gas & New Energy sector. Previous roles include heading LNG marketing for South Asia, and business development at PETRONAS ENERGY (INDIA), as well as significant positions within MISC Berhad and PwC. Vimal holds multiple degrees, including a Master of Arts in International Business and credentials in Business Sustainability Management from prestigious institutions such as LSE and the University of Cambridge.
