Robert Coon

Robert Coon has extensive work experience in the oil and gas industry. Robert is currently the VP of Operations at PetroQuip Energy Services LLC. Prior to this, from 2016 to 2022, they served as the President of PetroFrac Oil Tools, a PetroQuip company. At PetroFrac Oil Tools, they focused on developing and field-testing fast and efficient frac plugs.

Before joining PetroFrac Oil Tools, from 2015 to 2016, Robert worked as the US General Manager at Tartan Completion Systems. From 2010 to 2014, they held multiple roles at Packers Plus Energy Services Inc., including US Sales Manager where they redesigned the sales process and structure, and Technology Manager.

Earlier in their career, Robert worked at Weatherford as the Global Product Line Director from 2004 to 2010, and as an Engineering Manager from 2000 to 2004. Robert also gained experience at Schlumberger as an Applications Completions Engineer from 1998 to 2000, where they provided marketing and technical support for the Multilateral product line.

In their earlier years, Robert Coon worked at Baker Hughes from 1989 to 1998. Robert started as an Engineering and Marketing Flow Control and Intelligent Completions specialist, where they contributed to the design and development of innovative completion systems. Overall, Robert Coon has a strong background in operations, sales, technology management, and product development within the oil and gas industry.

Robert Coon attended the University of Oklahoma from 1983 to 1989, where they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering.
